| The Shepherds Cottage at Fasnakyle is
an attractive, single storey cottage which sleeps up to 5 people with fine views over the
River Glass and up Glen Affric.
The cottage is set in its own garden beside the river and being part of the Fasnakyle
Estate there is trout fishing available on Loch Benevian and during May, June and July on
the Fasnakyle stretch of the River Glass. The cottage is open from March to November and prices range between £160 and £370. The village of Cannich with its general stores and hotel is 2 miles away, Drumnadrochit 10 miles and Inverness 30 miles. |

| Glen Affric is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful
glens in the Highlands and there are many scenic walks through the old Caledonian Forests. The area has long
been popular with walkers and hosts no fewer than 32 of the Munros (Scotland's
highest mountains). For the more adventurous the "West to East Coast
Walk" provides some challenging walking.
Local attractions include: Golf at Inverness, Nairn and Muir of Ord, riding and pony trekking at Drumnadrochit, whisky distilleries at Muir of Ord and Tomatin, deer farms at Struy and Aigas, the salmon lifts at Aigas Dam and dolphin watching in the Cromarty Firth. A wide range of famous and historic attractions are within easy reach including Inverewe Gardens, the castles of Urquhart, Dunrobin, Brodie and Cawdor and Fort George and the battle field of Culloden. |
