The Sheperds Cottage is located on the road to Glen Affric and is perfectly situated as a base to explore the local hills.

Children can bicycle around the farm buildings and up and down the drive or play games on the large open space in front.  There is a fence around the immediate area of the cottage for dogs or the very young.

Within a 5 minute drive you can take the path through some ancient Scots pine (c150 ft tall) to the Plodda Falls, spectacular in spate, or drive up Glen Affric and take the Dog Falls walk through the old Caledonian pine forests past a little lochan and view the legendary Dog Falls from a little bridge as you cross back over the river.
